Nadine, tells me that her Mum liked to keep her mind active and did this by doing puzzles including Word Wheels, Word Search, Code Words and Sudoku. Mum especially enjoyed the challenging Sudokus. Nadine and her mum spent many a Sunday afternoon doing puzzles but would occasionally intersperse the puzzles with a game or two of cards and of course, a chat. Nadine says her sister Noreen and Mum could get through a Word Search very quickly. Nadine recalls that mum often said the Word Search in the papers; frustratingly’ didn’t use enough letters and actually there was space for more words. Even in the hours before her death, mum’s mind was clear in decision making and she was very sharp and determined.  Nadine says in memory, and in love of the times spent with her mum, there is a Word Search puzzle on the reverse of this Order of Service, for you to do later, with words associated to mum.
